The Carne Trophy
Following the passing of Molly O'Donnell, a native of Carne, in 2008, Molly's granddaughter Susan Connolly and her husband Russell (Burke) presented a trophy in her memory. An annual golf weekend has taken place in October for many years in which many of Molly's extended family and friends take part and it was felt that this was an appropriate way of keeping Molly's memory alive. And so the Carne Trophy was born..........
Sadly in June 2015 we lost Joe, Molly's son-in-law and our great friend. Joe was a participant in this event for nearly 20 years and he encouraged as many of his extended family and friends to take part. To honour his memory, the Carne Trophy is now also dedicated to Joe.
Carne Trophy 2024 wil be on Saturday September 28th
